
Dr. Chen, originally from China, lived in Vancouver, Canada, as a child before moving to Oklahoma for many years. Arkansas’ charm later drew him and his wife to settle there.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He completed an internal medicine residency and a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where he served as chief resident and fellow.
Dr. Chen is Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. He has a special interest in genitourinary cancers, including prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chen is a developer at the biotech company Meaningful Insights Biotech Analytics (MiBA), an AON informatics venture in partnership with Ascend Technologies Group. He helps integrate AI solutions into clinical medicine to advance personalized medicine through clinical decision support, data analytics, and clinical trial matching.
